About the Workplace

Jobbcentrum is a unit within the area of Employment and Support within the Social and Care Administration of Hudiksvall Municipality.

Jobbcentrum encompasses labor market issues, financial assistance, settlement and reception of newcomers, as well as the municipal activity responsibility. The mission of the organization is to counteract dependency on benefits and work towards the inclusion/integration of residents in society. This is achieved by working together in teams, social workers, and coaches.

We adapt our work to best meet the needs of different individuals while creating conditions for a good working environment for our employees. Good reception, belief in people's abilities, engagement, and joy at work are important in our workplace.

The unit works with two main missions;

• to support, motivate, and coach individuals towards independence, work, or studies and self-sufficiency.
• to investigate and decide on financial assistance while the individual strives to achieve a reasonable standard of living.

Two of our employees at Jobbcentrum will embark on new adventures in 2026. Therefore, we are looking for a coach and a social worker for temporary positions.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for those who are passionate about social work, labor market issues, and creating conditions for our residents to achieve self-sufficiency. We seek individuals who understand the mission; to work with social change, progress towards self-sufficiency, and assess the right to financial assistance. We want you to be interested and curious about meeting individuals regardless of their life situation. You need to have the ability to maintain good structure in ongoing administrative work with change plans, follow-ups of interventions, and processing applications.

We welcome those who meet our residents with great respect, understanding, and the ability to motivate. You have a high service capacity and a genuine interest in supporting people in difficult situations. You also need to understand the importance of collaborating with other internal and external actors.

Therefore, we are looking for a coach and a social worker for temporary positions, provided that necessary decisions are made.

We document in the operational systems Accorda and Treserva.

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates with a bachelor's degree, preferably in the social sciences. A degree in social work is an advantage for the position of social worker. It is desirable that you have knowledge of current legislation, experience in authority exercise, preferably with financial assistance or labor market knowledge.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the documentation systems Accorda and Treserva.

We also see that you are ambitious, socially engaged, able to collaborate with others, and meticulous in your work. We want you to be creative, curious, willing to think outside the box, and have a strong sense of service and individual focus.

A prerequisite for the position is that you value diversity and have confidence in the individual's ability to create change. It is important that you work well with others and can relate to them in a sensitive and smooth manner, have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and see opportunities in changes. We believe that you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You can make assessments despite sometimes limited information and difficult circumstances. You are structured and demonstrate good judgment under time pressure. Together with other employees at Jobbcentrum, you have a responsibility to contribute to and work towards achieving the overall mission of the organization.

About the Administration

We are here for people. We offer various types of support to children, youth, families, and adults who have a need for our interventions. We provide individuals with the support they need to move forward to work, studies, or otherwise receive help to develop. We take care of our elderly when they need support in their daily lives. We are one of the few municipalities in Sweden that has a consolidated social services. This means that authority exercise as well as treatment and supportive interventions exist within the same administration. We see this as a tremendous strength.
